Oh hello my lovely blogging friends, I am sorry for not catching up with you all, Im just going through a bit of a hard time at the moment, thank god its not my health or my marriage!!! Life is full of ups and downs and Im trying to stay positive and get back to normal, so once again my apologies and hopefully I will be back to normal soon and doing some more posts. When life throws curve balls at me im inclined to do drastic things so dont be surprised if you may not recognise me in the not to distant future!!!!! I get boared very easily and love a change. NEW VINTAGE DRESS ( Well not really new but you know what I mean).
the bad is a vintage clutch I got in PARIS, I love it.
the shoes are new and so so high I got them in NEW LOOK.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANY CURLING TIPS MUCH APPRECIATED.
I tried to curl my hair on Saturday night before I went out I left these curlers in for a few hours but they hardly made much of a difference, I had been watching SEX AND THE CITY on Friday night and of course decided then that I needed curls like CARRIES!!! I was even toying with the idea of a PERM!! Any tips on curling would be so much appreciated, I saw lots of curling Irons in the shops but not sure which are the best ones to buy, I really would be grateful for any tips on this subject, Im not very talented at doing my hair. big thanks xx leonie

Curling irons are great, the thin barrel ones give tighter curls than the bigger ones and they're heaps easier to use than rollers - have you looked at any videos on you tube? There's some great hair tutorials on there xo

Hi honey! Hope life gets back to normal soon! Maybe invest in heated rollers or a styling wand, I'm the same although I curl mine with ghd's but want something to give more curl x

Boo! Sending very big hugs your way!! :) Def try hotsticks for curling. I get best results from pin curls or foam rollers left overnight but it depends if you can manage sleeping in them! XOXO
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous :) .. as usual!! Anyway, about the curling thing, best thing to do is use a wide curling iron. I will curl, then spray with a lite hair spray and then cross my fingers that it will hold!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry things are a little tough right now. Life does seem to throw those curve balls every now and then and you just have to hold your head high a power through those moments. I have felt a little turbulence in the blog world this week! Lots of emotional posts regarding change of seasons, starting new, and reflection. Leonie red is you colour! You look G O R G E O U S girl! Re curling hair; I have a hard time too but find that leaving my hair in a bun most times (like when I'm at home blogging LOL) with a bit of hair spray kind of gives me soft waves - then again my hair is much longer than yours so I don't know how well relevant but there is no harm in trying! Also I use a cheapie curling iron, it cost me $9 from Priceline a few years ago and its perfect! Granted the tong clip thingy broke off almost immediately it's just a matter of holding onto the hair yourself. I would try the curler and just play around with it, I wouldn't necessarily go for something uber expensive neither since its just a rod that warms up! Anyhoo hope that is of some help!

Hello beauty ! WOW you look stunning !!! Amazing dress & shoes ! I would advise you to take a curling iron, i know its not good for the hair but you could use a heat protection spray also. That curlers which you used were too big. If you don't want to use a curling iron then use tiny curlers and styling foam and hairspray ! Have a fabby day ! XX Tani

On the brighter side of things I love your dress and the color is for sure a mood booster! The jacket and shoes look like a total awesome color match!
As far as the curling this is what I can offer and its worked for me: I usually wash my hair at night and after a bit of towel drying I rub about two pumps of curling gel (I used this: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3780013) between my palms and work it in my hair at the scalp and throughout. Then I add another 1/2 pump and work it at the ends. I part my hair into 2 low ponytails and one high atop the crown; twist the hair and hold in place with a rubber band. The next morning I blow dry if needed (on summer nights my hair get dry real fast) and curl with my Conair 1" curling iron... Finger comb hair after curling and light hair spray for hold. This usually lasts me through the day. Let me know if you try it and how it works.
